Minimum stay in low/shoulder season months is 2 nights. From May through September the minimum stay is 1 week (7 nights)

We have two Self-Catering Cottages each with its own small private pool!

Perfect for couples and families, they lie in the valley in the valley.

Each of them has a small private pool and sleeps 4 people in two rooms, both en suite; a double bedded room and a twin bedded room. They are available by the week all year round, and for long-weeks in low season. Peacefully secluded, yet minutes from local Andalusian pueblos, excellent supermarkets and fishmongers, and only 75 minutes from Seville.

La Casita de Platero

This was the stable where our donkey, Platero, lived. Many years ago we converted the stable and loft into a lovely rustic holiday house. There is an orchard meadow with old apple trees and fig trees. We sometimes have the sheep nearby and you will hear the tinkle of their bells as they graze. There is a high stone wall behind the pool, and garden area looks out over orchards. There is a shady terrace with a vine pergola.

Inside the Casita de Platero, the cosy sitting room has a wood-fired stove and offers comfortable chairs and sofas.

The large eat-in kitchen has a marble work-top, electric fan oven, gas hob, dishwasher, and clothes washer. There is an extending kitchen table that seats up to eight.

The double bedroom has a king-size bed, and an en suite bathroom with tub/shower, handbasin and WC. The twin room has an en suite walk-in shower, handbasin, and WC. All the bedroom furniture is handmade and hand-painted in Seville.

La Casita de Luis

This farm cottage is several hundred years old, built of stone and adobe, and white-washed in the typical Andalusian style. The cottage overlooks an orchard meadow with quince trees. The shady terrace has a pergola above it, and leads to the sunny pool area. It is a great place for bird-watching and for looking at wildflowers in the early spring months. There are herbs planted just outside- handy for the kitchen. Lemon verbena, rosemary and oregano.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome at the Casita de Luis! (No sheep-chasers, please!)

There is a stone built barbecue on the patio, perfect for alfresco lunches of grilled fish or Iberian solomillo. Not permitted to be used in high summer.

The sitting room is large and has a wood-fired stove with comfortable sofas and chairs. The eat-in kitchen has a marble work-top and an extendable kitchen table that seats eight.

There are two bedrooms. On the first floor, the twin room has an en suite bathroom with tub and walk-in shower. The double room on the ground floor has an en suite shower room with WC and basin.

Dining

The local town is 8-10 minutes drive, with a choice of supermarkets as well as a fishmonger, butcher, bakeries and a host of local eating places.
That said, being in a cottage doesn’t mean you have to forego a special dinner treat: book ahead and dine at the main house (subject to availability), or we can bring your dinner to the door. For €40 per person, enjoy dinner as you would when staying at the main house.
