We are situated close to Aracena, a town in the north of Huelva province, in the heart of western Andalusia. We are is only 70 minutes from Seville by car.

The Getaround App

To undercut conventional car hire company prices, we would recommend that you download the ”Getaround” App onto your mobile and become a member, and pick up your meet owner car at Sevilla airport or Santa Justa Station. Alternative take a taxi to your pre-booked “Getaround Connect” car. It’s simple. You use your phone to unlock the car with bluetooth, hop in and drive off. Rates are reasonable, insurance is included, just return it in good nick and with the tank full.

We recommend a vehicle with good clearance for our country roads. A boxy Peugeot, Renault , Citroën or the new Fiat 500 are fine.

Closest airports to Finca Buenvino, Aracena, Spain

See below for information on the nearest airports, and instructions on how to get here by car. If you are not coming by car, you will need to take a bus to Aracena (there are two buses daily from Seville). From there, take a taxi, or if you let us know in advance, we can come to pick you up.

Flights to Seville:

• Ryanair flies from Edinburgh, Stansted, Gatwick, Dublin, Düsseldorf, Brussels, Beauvais, Pisa, Bologna and Milan

• Easyjet flies from Gatwick, Luton, Toulouse, Lyon, Nice and Geneva.

• Vueling flies from Florence, Rome, Amsterdam, Bibao, Madrid, Ibiza, Menorca and Mallorca. Many flights involve a change in Barcelona, so check.

• British Airways flies from Gatwick.

• NB There are still direct flights to Seville from Edinburgh with Ryanair!

Flights to Faro:

• British Airways flies from Gatwick, and from London City Airport

• Ryanair flies from Bristol, Cork, Kerry, Knock, Dublin ,E. Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Manchester, Leeds and Liverpool, Bournemouth and Birmingham

• Easyjet flies from Glasgow, Belfast, Newcastle, Liverpool, Gatwick, Bristol, and Southend

• Aer Lingus flies from Dublin

Alternatively travel from the UK by ferry with Brittany Ferries. If you are traveling from Ireland, they also run ferries from Cork to Santander or Rosslare to Bilbao.

Driving Instructions

From Seville Airport

Turn left out of the airport towards Sevilla. After 1km take the 1st turning on the right signed Isla de La Cartuja and Mérida A66/Huelva.

Follow this road round the north of the city. It takes you over 4 roundabouts, the last of which is just after the looming greyish Olympic Stadium on your left. At this last roundabout follow the signs to the left and up the ramp signed Mérida A66. This brings you out onto the causeway heading west over the Guadalquivir Canal.

Take the 1st turning right (blue sign) for Mérida via the A66. Continue up the motorway for about 35 kms or so and you'll see the turnoff for Aracena, Venta del Alto and Portugal (N433). Get onto this road and continue until km marker number 95, which is right outside our gates, on the right. (You’ll see little white posts every 100 metres, and then the larger red and white km signs, so it’s easy to count up from the beginning.)

The important thing is to count carefully so that you do not overshoot. Give adequate signals as you come down the hill, as sometimes drivers don't believe there can be anything to turn off into, and are driving right up behind you. Some manual slowing signals sometimes help if this is the case! Turn down ramp, through gates and then after 100 metres fork left up the hill. (Unless you are staying in a cottage in which case keep on down the valley) It’s a rough country road, about three quarters of a kilometre from gate to main house.

From Faro

Head out of the airport and straight on over the bridge which crosses the Faro-Almancil road.

You are on the N125-10. signed Sao Brás de Alportel and Olhão

Get into the right hand lane aftera Km or so, and follow the signs for Sao Brás de Alportel. This will wind you down onto a narrow country road heading north between houses and fields.  Continue straight on ( ignoring turn off for Conceiçao and then Estoi and San Bras) then take the turning up the ramp for the A22 signed Tavira, Espanha.

You are now on the motorway to Spain (signed Espanha). This is a pay motorway, but your rental car company should have a deal wherewith the tolls will be paid automatically.

Cross the bridge into Spain and then continue past Ayamonte and Huelva on the motorway (signed Sevilla). When you reach the turnoff for San Juan del Puerto and Beas/Trigueros, turn off and head northwards (signed Badajoz).

Shortly after the town of Zalamea la Real you’ll see signs for Rio Tinto. Turn off to Rio Tinto and then follow signs for Aracena.

When you reach Aracena follow signs for Portugal. This will bring you out onto the N433 heading in a westerly direction. We are at Km 95 marker on the right hand side (don’t overshoot!). It’s about 10 minutes from Aracena to our gate,

From Jerez Airport (Code: XRY)

Take N1V or motorway A4 to Seville, then the A66 & N433 towards Aracena/Portugal.

From Malaga Airport (Code: AGP)

Take N340 bypass onto N331(signed Antequera) then A92 to Seville, then continue as directions above.

From Lisbon airport (Code: LIS)

Take the new Vasco de Gama Bridge and then the motorway south as far as the turnoff for Beja and Serpa. Follow the road straight on past Vilaverde de Ficalho into Spain and you will be on the N433, which goes past our gate.

Keep on this road until you reach Finca Buenvino which is is on the left-hand side at the 95 km marker on the N433(which is the continuation of the Beja-Serpa road on the Spanish side of the border.)

If approaching from the west, you are not allowed to turn left off the road into our drive as there is a continuous white line, so continue as far as Los Marines, turn left into the village, execute a U-turn and come back towards km 95.
